Celebrating Independence Day by Spreading Smiles

Kolkata, 15 August 2026 — While we celebrated the 80th Independence Day of our nation with pride and joy alongside our families, the 4SIGHT Grand Castle Parivar also chose to remember those children who have never experienced the warmth of a family, or whose memories of their parents are only faint.

For many of these children, the meaning of freedom is overshadowed by the challenges they face every day. While we may not be able to change their circumstances overnight, we set out to make this Independence Day a little brighter — by bringing smiles to their faces and reminding them that they are loved and cared for.

As part of this initiative, the community presented these wonderful children with the Indian National Flag, new clothes and sweets as small tokens of love, hope and belonging.

Residents also had the privilege of witnessing a special cultural performance by the children, accompanied by their mentors. Their enthusiasm and talent touched every heart present and made the celebration truly meaningful.

The Independence Day programme began at 9:00 AM at the Main Ground with the flag hoisting ceremony and the national anthem, honouring the values of freedom, democracy and unity, followed by the children's performance and the distribution of gifts.

The Association extends its heartfelt thanks to the Core Group Members, the Food Secretary, the Working Secretary, the mentors of the children, and every resident who joined us in spreading smiles. 🤝
